Street
Latelly i've been getting into street photography, well ok... for about the last year. But now that i've actually started doing it i'm getting even more exited :)

"What is street photography? A reflection of every day life – real, unaltered impressions of public places, places that everybody visits every day, the street where you live, the parking lot of your favorite grocery store, the subway. Street photographers document the truth and take candid pictures of things that you don't notice in your daily grind.
Street photography involves attention to detail. The photographer pays attention to scenes, moments that you only recognize subconsciously. The camera is an unobtrusive extension of the eye in any given situation. Oftentimes, street photographers take pictures they feel; the photographer happens to be there and captures the mood in a fraction of a second. He freezes a moment that you will forget in the same amount of time..."

Asian Discount
I went home and told my mum about the experience; then she suggested that I give her the phone and she'll tell them the same thing, and see if they offer a cheaper price. I thought brilliant, what a great idea. My mother being of more asian appearance than me surely will get a cheaper price!
So later on that week my mother went to the store, and sure enough they asked for 55 dollars.
A whole 23 dollars less. I was pleased. Whether consciously or sub-consciously an asian is more likely to give a cheaper price to a fellow asian than a caucasian any day.
Anyways, i hope i have not offended anyone in anyway. Because when I told this story to some people, they got angry and said it was blatant racism, I replied with, "of course it is." haha
Thank you for listening... I mean reading ;)
